TG EAPCET: Telangana Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy CET — Overview
TG EAPCET (Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) through Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). It admits students to engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture undergraduate programmes in Telangana's colleges.
This exam has gone through a series of name changes that often cause confusion: it was originally called EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test), then renamed TS EAPCET after the state renamed to Telangana, then further updated to TG EAPCET after the state's official renaming from "TS" (Telangana State) to "TG" (Telangana). The official host has also moved once (from tsche.ac.in to tgche.ac.in). When searching for information, TG EAPCET, TS EAPCET, and EAMCET all refer to the same Telangana exam.

TG EAPCET process: from registration to counselling
- Register on the TGCHE portal — Registration opens early in the year. Fill the application form, select your stream (Engineering or AM), and upload required documents.
- Appear for the exam in your stream — Engineering and AM streams are held on separate dates. Download your admit card from the official portal before the exam.
- Check your result — Results are published on the TGCHE portal. The 2026 result was published on May 17. Check your rank and download your result document.
- Participate in counselling — Telangana counselling (web options) is conducted through a separate state portal announced each cycle. Confirm the current counselling process on the official portal before proceeding.
Name confusion: EAMCET, TS EAPCET, TG EAPCET: All three names refer to the same Telangana state engineering/pharmacy/agriculture entrance exam. The most current official name is TG EAPCET and the current official host is eapcet.tgche.ac.in. If you encounter older resources using EAMCET or TS EAPCET, the exam content and process are largely the same — but always confirm current details on the official portal.
