CET Help Center is a free help centre for students applying to engineering and pharmacy courses through MHT-CET in Maharashtra and KCET in Karnataka. It is written for the student sitting the exam, and for the parent or older sibling who ends up doing the paperwork. Everything on it is free to read: no login, no account, no paywall, no gated PDF. Even the tools run in your browser and ask for nothing. We do not want your phone number, and we will never ask for it.

Why this site exists

Most sites covering state CETs earn their money by collecting student contact details and selling them to colleges. That model decides what they can write: when every college is a potential customer, no page can say "do not accept that seat" or "your list is too short". The most useful sentence in the admission process is the one their business model forbids.

Advertising funds this site instead, so we can publish what decides outcomes: which documents get rejected and why, how to object to a merit list, how to order an option form, and what each allotment choice gives up. We go deep on two states, and say plainly when coverage of another state CET is reference-level only.

The problems this site was built around

— A percentile is not a mark, and almost nobody explains the gap. MHT-CET runs across many days with different papers, so scores are normalised across sessions before a percentile is assigned. Students compare theirs with a friend's from another shift, get numbers that cannot both be right, and conclude the system is rigged. Published marks-to-percentile tables then contradict each other, each presented as fact.

— KCET does not rank you on your CET score alone. Your 2nd PUC board marks form part of the rank, and only theory marks count. Students who treated boards as a formality find out too late — and since the weighting has changed before, it must be re-confirmed against the KEA bulletin each cycle.

— Document verification ends more admissions than the exam does. A domicile certificate in your father's name rather than your own. A different spelling of your name on your SSC and HSC certificates, needing a notarised affidavit obtained before verification day. A missing gap certificate. Missing Aadhaar or APAAR details. All knowable in advance; nearly always found on the day itself.

— Karnataka's rural and Kannada-medium quotas are all-or-nothing tests over ten school years. One year in a municipal-area school can void a claim the student was certain of.

— KCET's Choice 1, 2, 3 and 4 are not what their names suggest. Students mix up Choice 3 with Choice 4, and one of them ends counselling permanently. Maharashtra's Freeze, Betterment and Slide are the same trap under other names.

— Objection windows last days and most students never learn they exist, even though objections do get upheld. Later CAP rounds often go unannounced until the earlier one closes, so complete-looking schedule tables are part fiction.

The limits of this site

— This is not an exam authority. The CET Cell, DTE Maharashtra, KEA and COMEDK run the exams; we only explain them. Your form, your certificate, your result, your merit position and your allotted seat are all outside anything we can touch.

— Nothing is for sale here: not exam access, not admission help, not seats, not counselling. Colleges pay us nothing.

— No lead capture. There is no login, no phone field and no "register to see your result" screen anywhere on the site.

— No cutoff-scraping predictor dressed up as an answer. When a figure is genuinely uncertain, the page shows the range and names each source instead.

— No phone number and no WhatsApp helpline.

How our pages are produced and checked

Every page is written and edited by the CET Help Center Editorial Team. Dates, fees, eligibility, quota conditions and counselling procedure are checked against the official portals — cetcell.mahacet.org and dte.maharashtra.gov.in for Maharashtra, kea.kar.nic.in and cetonline.karnataka.gov.in for Karnataka — and every page shows when it was last reviewed. Whatever cannot be confirmed in an official document is marked as reported rather than settled, and where the sources fight each other, the page says so. AI helps with some drafts; nothing publishes until an editor has verified it line by line against the authority's own document. Our Editorial Policy sets out the whole procedure.

Who operates this site

CET Help Center is operated by Gyaniversity Publications, an Indian educational publisher. That name is on the site for a reason. Get a surrender deadline or an option-form rule wrong and a student loses a year, so a reader deserves to see which company published the page and who is answerable for repairing it. Accountability needs an address; anonymity has none.

Commercial disclosure

Our operator sells books. Gyaniversity Publications produces study guides and learning material, and when one appears on a page here it is marked as the operator's own product and kept below the answer, never used as the answer. What a page states about a deadline, a fee or an eligibility rule does not change because a book is sitting next to it.

Not an official source

CET Help Center is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra; the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra; the Karnataka Examinations Authority; COMEDK; or any other state entrance-test authority or government body. This is not the official website of any entrance examination. Always confirm dates, fees and rules against the official notification linked on the page before acting on them.
